Carlstadt Police Officer Injured In Crash

A Carlstadt police officer sustained injuries that weren't considered life-threatening Monday night in a crash with another vehicle, authorities said.

The other driver refused medical attention following the crash at 6th Street and Passaic Avenue around 9 p.m., Detective Sgt. John Cleary said.

The officer went to Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, he said.

Both vehicles had to be towed.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office was investigating the circumstances of the crash, under state Attorney General general guidelines in such instances.
